Terms of Use

Last updated: October 13, 2026

LandlordLog is a new app in early testing, and these terms are a draft not yet reviewed by a lawyer.

It is a tracker, not tax advice

LandlordLog helps you keep records and shows suggested totals, including a draft match to tax form lines (CRA T776 for Canada, Schedule E for the USA) and a suggested split of credit line interest. Nothing here is tax, legal or financial advice. Rules differ by person, and the suggestions may be wrong or out of date. Check your numbers with a qualified tax professional before you file. You are responsible for what you file.

The USA version is a draft and has not been reviewed by a US tax professional.

Receipts, summaries and reminders

Rent receipts, repair histories and the accountant summary only list what you entered. They are not legal or tax documents and make no promises about what the law requires. You are responsible for any receipt you give a tenant, for the information on it, and for following the rules where you live. Reminders (rent not recorded, lease ending) are only helpers and can be wrong or late. You remain responsible for your tenants, leases, notices and dates. Only enter tenant information you are allowed to keep, and keep it to what you need.

Plans and payments

LandlordLog is free for 1 property. Paid plans (Plus, up to 3 properties; Pro, up to 10 properties) are billed in Canadian dollars, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are shown on the Plans and pricing screen in the app and may change; we will tell you before a change affects you. Applicable taxes may be added.

Payments are handled by Stripe. You can change your plan, update your card or cancel any time from Manage subscription in the app. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and then does not renew. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it, or where we decide to as a courtesy: email us if something went wrong.

If you have more properties than your plan allows, you can still see and export all your records. You just cannot add more properties until you upgrade. Features can change or stop.

Your account

Keep your password private. You are responsible for what is entered in your account. Do not use LandlordLog for anything unlawful.

No promises

The app is provided "as is", without promises that it will always work, be error-free or keep your data forever. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using it, including from a wrong total. Please keep your own backup of important records.

Ending

You can stop using it any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that misuse the app.

Law

These terms follow the laws of Ontario, Canada.
